Matt Hancock hails start of Covid-19 vaccination 'V-Day'

Speaking on the eve of the first Covid-19 vaccine being administered, Matt Hancock said December 8 will be known as V-Day. The Health Secretary thanked NHS staff who worked to gather the conditions necessary to store and give out the jabs, which must be transported and kept at -70 degrees. Among the first to receive the first vaccine will be Dr Hari Shukla, from Tyne and Wear, at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle along with his wife Ranjan.
