To open the portal to Whimsyshire, you need to craft the "Staff of herding" and bring it to the fissure in the ground along Old Tristram Road in Act 1. **Spoilers Below** Items needed: Plan: Staff of Herding - Random drop from Izual (Act 4) Black Mushroom - Found in a Room on level 1 of the Cathedral (Act 1) Leoric's Shinbone - Found in fireplaces in Leoric's Manor (Act 1) Wirt's Bell - Sold by Squirt the Peddler in the Caldeum Bazaar for 100,000 gold (Act 2) Liquid Rainbow - Found as a drop in "Mysterious Cave" in Dahlgur Oasis (Act 2) Gibbering Gemstone - Random drop from Chiltara in the Caverns of Frost (Act 4) Bring all of these items, along with 50,000 gold to the blacksmith to craft the staff.
