Boca Raton's mayor is singing the praises of Florida's business environment, urging New York City's residents to flee south after democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s primary win. Mayor Scott Singer is encouraging big business to head towards greener-- and sunnier pastures in Boca Raton, a city with a history of harboring New York City transplants. Singer's interview with the New York Post put him in the national spotlight on Monday, gracing the newspaper's front page and raining backlash on Mamdani's primary win. "Is there even a comparison between @CityBocaRaton and NYC? In Boca, we look to lower taxes, not raise them," Singer shared on X. "We prioritize public safety and fund our police department.
