MICA Lecture Series, December 11, 2025: Judy Ball, "The Foundation is Cracked, The Roof is Leaking"

Unprecedented. That’s how our current state of political chaos is frequently described. But is it unprecedented? Asking (and, possibly, answering) that question will lead us through a rarely explored view of our history. At the end of that journey, we may better understand our situation now and what we must do to prepare for the future— that more perfect Union our Founders promised us. Judy Ball holds a BA in political science from WVU and an MPA and PhD in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She spent 20+ years in health services research with agencies of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. In retirement, she has continued in various forms of public service.
