On Today's episode of The Newshour Agenda with Padmaja Joshi, we discuss the incident of Karnal Farmer Protest. On Saturday, Haryana police had allegedly lathicharged peaceful protesting farmers in the Karnal district of Haryana. The police personnel had blocked multiple roads and highways and were blocking farmers headed towards a BJP meeting. They were protesting against a meeting of the BJP over the upcoming municipal. The meeting was by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. To block the farmer's way, the Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha had given the order to the police team that whoever tries to cross the barricades break their head. A day after seeing a lot of criticism on the SDM's order, the state chief minister said that strictness was needed to maintain law and order. Watch!
