http://hyannisnews.com/ Bicyclist struck by vehicle... HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are investigating an accident where a bicyclist was injured and sent to CCH. At about 5:30PM, police rushed to West Main Street near the entrance to the Sturgis Charter School and Stop & Stop Gas Station. Hyannis Rescue was already working on the patient when police arrived on scene. The male bicyclist transported to CCH was estimated to be in his thirties and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The vehicle which struck the bike appeared to have been making a left turn into the entrance of the charter school. Traffic was backed up in both directions and had to be briefly detoured around the scene. A Sheriffs Department photographer was called to document the scene, as well as the patient's injuries at CCH. Police issued a warning citation to the driver...
