January 22, 2023 - Third Sunday after the Epiphany
Today we hear Matthew's story of Jesus calling his first disciples—four fishermen named Peter, Andrew, James and John. "Follow me," Jesus says, "and I will make you fish for people." These men immediately drop their nets and follow Jesus. Today we meditate on the question of what Jesus is calling us to do. How Jesus is calling us to leave behind a bit of what is familiar, but also to turn our gifts and skills to new ends, new goods. How is Jesus calling to you today?
