Twenty-eight has given us: Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green - Final Battle Against Gary The highest ranking Pokemon theme, and indeed what else could top this? You go all that way, beat every trainer in the known world, climb to the very peak of Indigo Plateau, and Gary, your rival, is yet again one step ahead! The theme summarises your whole adventure as you fight him - it all comes down to that one match - with all the tension and excitement you'd expect from a final boss theme. Of course, the remade version is superior to the original Gameboy one, so that's what gets the spot.
