An excerpt of the opening scene of ReAct Theatre's 2013 production of William Inge's Pulitzer Prize-Winning American Classic Picnic. Set on the back porch of a small house in a little town near Tulsa, Oklahoma, we meet the Owens siblings: Madge, the town beauty and her brainy younger sister Millie. When their next door neighbor Mrs. Potts hires a handsome drifter to help with some yard work, their lives will never be the same again. In a small town, every dream seems big. Directed by David Hsieh, our diverse cast includes the talents of Alexa Oo, Sara Porkalob, William Poole, Trevor Cushman, Kathy Hsieh, Faith Russell, Nikki Visel, Mark Waldstein, Dorcas Lewis, Julie Huang and Henry Vu.
