Dennis Rodman bursts into tears during CNN interview over North Korea visit

Dennis Rodman was reduced to a blubbering mess as he recalled his first visit to North Korea.The former NBA star burst into tears as he told CNNs Chris Cuomo about the death threats he said followed his controversial journey to meet Kim Jong Un the leader of the isolated nation in 2013.When I went back home I got so many death threats 57-year-old Rodman cried from Singapore. When I came home I couldnt even go home. I had to hide out for 30 days. But I kept my head up high brother. I knew things were going to change.Tears could be seen streaming down the former Chicago Bulls players cheeks as he wore large bug-eyed sunglasses and a Make America Great Again hat.I believe in North Korea he said.Rodman attributed his tears to seeing the historic meeting between Kim Jong Un and President Trump take place in Singapore years after being one of the first westerns to meet the young dictator.His voice croaked with emotion as he remembered a list of questions Kim asked Rodman to pass to President Barack Obama during the first visit.Obama didnt even give me the time of day. I kept going back.Rodman spoke over Cuomo as he asked whether Kim speaks or understand English.The retired athlete later dodged the repeated question and said Kim understands basketball lingo referring to him as a big kid.Even though hes small he added.Rodman claims a member of Trumps White House called him this week to express his thanks for having a role in North Korea talks.Donald Trump is so proud of you. He thanks you a lot Rodman quoted the unidentified staffer as saying.Rodman landed in Singapore hours before Trumps meeting despite not being invited by Trump or the White House to participate in diplomatic negotiations.In 2014 Trump tweeted that Rodman was either drunk or on drugs (delusional) when he said I wanted to go to North Korea with him.Glad I fired him on Apprentice!
