In this watercolor painting, I started by creating a soft background using the wet-on-wet technique. I first wet the paper and applied a mix of Ultramarine, Green, and Violet to create a dreamy, blended backdrop. While the paper was still damp, I laid down the base colors for my pink roses using Deep Yellow, Rose Madder, and Orange, allowing the colors to merge naturally. Once the initial layers dried, I focused on adding details, carefully defining the flowers by painting around them and using negative space to bring out their delicate shapes. Watch as the soft washes transform into beautiful, glowing pink roses!
