In this video today I will show you guys how to set up TP link range extender in 300 or any one band TP link router Here's how you can set up your TP-LINK Range Extender (TL-WA850RE): Method 1: Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) 1. Plug in the Extender: Connect the TP-LINK TL-WA850RE into a power outlet near your router. 2. Activate WPS on Router: Press the WPS button on your router (check your router manual for its location). 3. Activate WPS on Extender: Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your TL-WA850RE. The WPS LED on the extender should start blinking, and the connection process will begin. 4. Wait for a Successful Connection: Once the connection is successful, the signal LED on the extender will become solid. You can then move the extender to a new location between the router and the area where you need better coverage. Method 2: Using the Web Browser (Without WPS) 1. Plug in the Extender: Connect the TL-WA850RE to a power outlet. 2. Connect to the Extender: On your computer or smartphone, go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect to the extender’s default SSID, which is usually "TP-LINK_Extender." 3. Open a Web Browser: In the browser, type http://tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254 into the address bar. 4. Log In: Enter the default login credentials: Username: admin Password: admin (unless you changed it) 5. Quick Setup Wizard: Select your region. The extender will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your router's Wi-Fi network from the list. Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network. 6. Configure the Extender: After connecting to your Wi-Fi, you can change the extended network's name (SSID) or leave it as the default. 7. Relocate the Extender: After setting it up, unplug the extender and move it to a location between your router and the weak signal area. Ensure the signal LED is solid, indicating a good connection.
