(14 Mar 2022) As the fighting between Russia and Ukraine intensifies, refugees fleeing the violence continued to arrive in Poland on Monday. At Przemysl train station, a refugee called Anjela, a 55-year-old from Poltava, spoke with emotion as she called on NATO to implement a no-fly zone over Ukraine so that the rest of her remaining family could escape. "Close the sky," she pleaded. "Everything else, we will do ourselves." More than 2.8 million people have fled Ukraine since the start of the invasion, in what the U.N. has called Europe's biggest refugee crisis since World War II.
