Carmel Pecan Pie Dump Cake is delightful served plain or with ice cream or Cool Whip. The homemade carmel sauce is amazing. Dump Cakes are sinfully delicious. I hope that you give this wonderful cake a try. Do Not Over Bake Ingredients: 2 to 3 sticks butter, one stick melted , the other cut in thin slices. Vanilla extract, to taste 2 cups milk 1 can sweetened condensed milk 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1 cup white sugar Pinch of salt 1 ½ cups pecans ( toasted or plain) 1 box yellow or white cake mix Directions: In a saucepan, combine 1 stick of melted butter, vanilla extract, milk, sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, white sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches a light golden color and thickens up. Mix in the pecans, then pour into a baking dish. Spread the boxed cake mix over the caramel. Cover with another stick of melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cake will be golden brown. optional: lightly cover the butter with pecans.
