25 Days, 7,100 Miles /// USA Road Trip Summer 2014

25 Day, 7,100 Mile, 15 State, 8 National Park Road Trip Our summer not only included numbers, but also many scenic drives and adventures that we would have never expected. From attempting* to climb Mt. Whitney at 14,505 feet, to driving at -50 feet in Death Valley, our trip never failed to bring a smile to our faces! *I said attempting because we had run out of time, even though we started the hike at 4:30am. The three of us had to turn around at 11:00 at about 13,500 feet knowing that the afternoon storms would be rolling in at 3:00 and we didn't want to get caught on the top of the mountain with lightning and hail. And what do ya know? It started hailing while we were half way down. Nevertheless, very fun yet challenging adventure (all three of us were sore for the next three days...).
