In this video, I'm sharing a quick PS2 gameplay comparison of Gran Turismo 4 between 3 devices: the RP5 (Snapdragon 865), the RPG2 (Snapdragon G2 Gen2), and the Odin 2 (Snapdragon 8 Gen2), which has the same chipset that the RP6 will have, to show you how these 3 chipsets perform on the same settings/game. My PS2 Settings: • Front end/launcher: Daijisho • Emulator: NetherSX2 (red version) • Game rom file type: CHD • GPU: Performance, Fan: Smart • Emulator settings (Graphics): GPU Renderer (OpenGL), Upscale Multiplier (1x Native), Display Aspect Ratio (16:9 Widescreen) My thoughts: • The performance is very close between the RPG2 and the Odin 2 • The RPG2 is still a great device and available to purchase/ship now • I believe the RP6 would be a better upgrade from the RP5 (since it has slightly better performance and battery life), but it ships in Jan. 2026 • The RP5 and the RPG2 handled the game well at 60FPS with a bit of an audio tear/lag at the beginning of the game • The Odin 2 handled the game very well at an easy 60FPS without any audio tear/lag/frame skipping If you enjoy the video, feel free to like, subscribe, and become a patron.
