After months of intense academic work and challenging physical fitness training, members of the 181st Police Recruit Class have joined the ranks of Honolulu's Finest. On Wednesday, March 2, 2016, the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) recognized the recruits during a graduation ceremony at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Concert Hall. The graduating class is comprised of 47 recruits from all walks of life. The class includes a helicopter mechanic, a medical assistant, a lifeguard, and two teachers. The new officers will partner up with veteran officers to gain experience in the field. For more information on joining the HPD, visit our Web site: www.joinhonolulupd.org.
