President Rejects Mercy Petition in 4-Year-Old Girl's Rape and Murder Case

President of India, Draupadi Murmu has rejected a Mercy Petition of a man convicted for raping and killing a 4-year old girl in 2008. He was convicted by the Supreme Court in 2014 and awarded with life Imprisonment along with death sentence. In 2017, after V.S. Dupare filed a Review Petition, the apex court upheld his death sentence. And in 2023, the President has also denied mercy in this barbaric case.
