'Captain America: Brave New World' actor praises Anthony Mackie's on-set leadership

The fourth installment in Marvel Studios' Captain America series sees a new hero holding the iconic red, white and blue shield. In "Captain America: Brave New World," Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is the new Captain America after the events in the Disney+ limited series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and "Avengers: Endgame," in which Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) retired and passed the shield to then-Falcon. The new movie sees Wilson involved in an international incident after meeting with the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford). "The world is at stake, it needs heroes, and the one who comes to mind is Captain America," said Carl Lumbly ("Alias," "M.A.N.T.I.S."), who plays Isaiah Bradley. Lumbly originated the role of Bradley in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" as the first Black super soldier who served in the Korean War and is now retired. However, Lumbly's character is thrust into the spotlight in "Captain America: Brave New World" when he becomes the prime suspect in an assassination attempt at the White House. "Captain America: Brave New World" is now available to buy or rent on all digital platforms. MORE: https://www.wthr.com/article/entertai...
