China has accused the United States of stoking tensions as a delegation of former top officials arrives in Taiwan. The visit is seen as a signal of support for the island from President Joe Biden. Beijing said Washington is sending the wrong signals to pro-independence forces. China has already stepped up "combat drills" around Taiwan.
