Homestuck Music for Studying/Daydreaming (3)

Author's Note: A young YouTube subscriber of high intellect and respectable musical taste stands alone in their room. Much to their dismay, today is not a Friday. Nor is it a Saturday. It is in fact, a Wednesday. Though you sigh in relief, thankful that you have navigated through this week’s Tuesday (I freaking hate Tuesdays…), you can’t help but wonder if there’s anything that can enhance this current Wednesday, perhaps to make it more unique and motivating than most other Wednesdays you’ve come to know. Coincidentally, one particular Youtuber stares into the eyes of a rather overpriced Sesshomaru figurine and ponders this very same notion at the exact same time you do! After a mediocre day at work, the aforementioned Youtuber decides to revisit the music compilation project they’ve been working on for a while, particularly its third installment. They usually save such things for weekends, but out of nowhere, this youtuber says “no!” to such habitual behavior! As a result, this impulsive turnabout has catalyzed enough creative energy to spark something new and fresh to overhaul the entire face of YouTube (and by that, I mean make a compilation of music tracks, made by some strangers on the internet for a niche group of 13 subscribers (tomato tomato really)). So, without further ado, Twist presents to you, Homestuck Music for Studying/Daydreaming (3)! (cue applause or whatever you feel like doing, I’m down for whatever) Author's Note (serious): Hi viewer! Thanks for sticking around for the third compilation! As of this video, I started doing some planning on how I want to handle these videos as a “cohesive series”. Here’s what I mean by that: I think I want to do about 6-8 Homestuck compilations in total, since that will allow me to start aligning songs towards cohesive themes a lot better (rather than just… kind of throwing a bunch of songs together like in the first two comps...) :3 That being said, I think you’ll find this video and the ones that follow to feel much more tonally cohesive. For this one, I went notably murkier in the middle tracks (with a healthy dose of Gamzee :o)), while sticking with a mysterious opening combined with an especially powerful ending that brings the Sburban Jungle leitmotif back to where I started it from with the first track! And don’t even get me started on the crossfade at the end! So, if there’s any way to describe this particular compilation in a nutshell, it would be “triumphant”. As a result, this is probably one of my favorite compilations to date, and I think the ones that follow will be showstoppers too.
