Suji Halwa and Kala Chana Kala Chana Ingredients: Kala Chana:1 cup Red Chilli Powder: 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder: 1/2 tsp Aamchur Powder:1/2 tsp Salt: As per taste Oil: 2 tbsp Kasuri Methi: 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds: 1/2 tsp Grated Ginger: 1/2 tsp Method: 1. In bowl add chana and wash it for 2-3 times. Then add water and soak it for 5-6 hours. 2. Now in the chana add salt and cook it until the 7-8 whistle comes. 3. In a bowl add red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and amchur powder. Now add water in it and mix it well. Here you kala chana Masala Paste is ready. 4. In a pan add oil. Once it heated add cumin seeds and grated ginger. The add prepared masala paste and some chana water. Mix it well. Cook for a minute. Then add boiled kala chana. Cook it until it becomes dry. Add some salt and kasuri methi. Mix it well. Here your Dry Kala Chana is ready. Suji Halwa Ingredients: Suji: 1 cup Ghee: 1 cup Sugar: 3/4 cup Milk: 3 cups Almond: 1 tbsp (chopped) Pista: 1 tbsp (chopped) Cashew: 1 tbsp (chopped) Raisins: 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder: 1 tsp Method: 1. In a pan add ghee. Once ghee heat add almond, pista, cashew and shallow fry them for 2 minutes after it add raisins. Then switch off the gas flame and remove the shallow fry nuts in the plate. 2. In heat ghee add suji and roast it on a low flame until it becomes light golden. 3. After that add hot milk slowly in the suji and mix it well. When suji absorb milk very well then add sugar and mix it well. Cook it for few minutes. In the last add cardamom powder and shallow fried nuts. Mix it well. After that ghee will release from the sheera and suji sheera also leave sides of the pan. Then switch off the gas flame. Here your delicious suji halwa / sheera is ready to serve it.
