𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛: Masbateños once again will come together in solemn remembrance and joyful celebration of 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙨’ 𝘿𝙖𝙮 on November 1 and 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙨’ 𝘿𝙖𝙮 on November 2, locally known as 𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜-𝙆𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜. This annual tradition holds deep meaning for every Masbateño family as they visit cemeteries, light candles, and offer prayers for their departed loved ones while reflecting on the virtues of the saints. Beyond the cemeteries, communities across Masbate also celebrate Kalag-Kalag with various activities, including Halloween parades, parties, and family reunions that bring color and togetherness to the observance. At St. Patrick Parish Church, Msgr. Claro Caluya III leads the faithful in prayer and reflection, emphasizing the importance of holiness, faith, and spiritual renewal among the youth. He reminded everyone that Undas is not only a time to remember those who have gone before us but also a moment to live our lives in the light, not in darkness — choosing goodness, kindness, and faith over sin and despair.
