The Alternate Command Mode lets you control the Audio and Display systems and provides additional commands for Vehicle Information, Phone and Navigation systems. To activate the Alternate Command Mode, press SETTING on the control panel. Then, select the OTHERS key on the display screen. Select the VOICE RECOGNITION key. Then, select the ALTERNATE COMMAND MODE key. A confirmation message will appear on the screen. Select the OK key to activate the ALTERNATE COMMAND MODE. When the Alternate Command Mode is activated, an expanded list of commands can be used after pushing the TALK switch. The system does not announce or display the available commands at each step. You can say things like: • "Call [name]" for example "Call John Smith". • "Places" for a list of places of interest categories. • "Traffic Information" to turn the traffic information system on and off. • "[Audio Source]" for example "Bluetooth Audio" or "XM" to change source. To become familiar with the Alternate Command Mode commands, you can do the following: Push the Talk switch; listen for the tone and say, "Help". The system will respond by displaying the command list main menu. Another way to obtain the command list is to press the INFO button on the control panel. Next, select OTHERS on the touchscreen display. Then, select VOICE RECOGNITION. Please note the voice recognition success rate may be affected as the number of available commands and ways of speaking each command are increased. For more information on your Bluetooth® system refer to your Owner's Manual.
