Batman: Telltale Series Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham

In Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham, Bruce Wayne finds himself locked inside Arkham Asylum after being publicly drugged and framed by Vicki Vale — who has now been revealed as Lady Arkham, the leader of the Children of Arkham. While inside, Bruce encounters a peculiar and manipulative fellow inmate named John Doe, a sinister figure with a disturbing charm who offers to help Bruce escape in exchange for a future favor. With John’s help, Bruce is released from Arkham — either through legal means via Alfred and Lucius Fox or more violently, depending on the player’s choices. Upon returning to society, Bruce discovers that Harvey Dent, now fully transformed into Two-Face (if disfigured in Episode 2), has declared martial law in Gotham. He’s using police forces to raid homes and suppress dissent, claiming it’s for the city's safety. At the same time, Oswald Cobblepot (Penguin) has seized control of Wayne Enterprises using the Children of Arkham’s influence and advanced technology, forcing Bruce out of his company. Bruce must choose whether to prioritize stopping Harvey’s crackdown or reclaiming his company from Oswald — both decisions shaping Gotham’s fate and key character relationships. Tensions peak as Bruce/Batman uncovers more of Lady Arkham’s plans, learning she’s preparing to free the inmates of Arkham and unleash chaos across the city as revenge for the abuse she suffered in her youth — abuse connected to Thomas Wayne’s dark legacy. The episode ends with Bruce determined to stop Lady Arkham and save Gotham, even as his allies are dwindling and the city teeters on the brink of collapse.
