Two children killed, three injured in crash near Dubbo

A regional New South Wales community has been rocked by a highspeed accident – which left two children dead and three others injured – after the driver of the vehicle fled the scene before police officers arrived. Paramedics were called on Tuesday afternoon with reports five pedestrians had been struck by a car in Wellington, south of Dubbo. The vehicle reportedly rammed into the group near the entrance to the local pool. Two children died at the scene while two children and one adult were flown to Orange Hospital. Police said the driver had left the scene of the crash before they arrived.
