69-year-old killed in southeast Charlotte homicide

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in southeast Charlotte. Officers responded to a deadly weapon call shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday along Doris Avenue near Richland Drive, the department said. Police said they found a victim who suffered a stab wound and was pronounced dead by MEDIC. Calvin Hilton, 69, was identified as the victim on Sunday, according to the department.
