Shrek's Strange Forgotten Burger King Toys!

Burger King: Have It Your Way. Well, my way always includes Shrek...so the only way BK was ever really going to have it my way would've been in May and June of 2001, when the very first toys of the Shrek franchise were released in Kids' Meal. (Or as BK puts it, "Big Kids Meals" because collecting Shrek toys is what separates the men from the boys.) Let's look back at these nine...plastic.... things...which is really the only way what I can best describe as keychain clips mixed with action figures mixed with strangely sculpted statues. Seriously whoever sculpted these loves bushy eyebrows! There's Shrek spinning some poor underpaid knight, Donkey with already mentioned very unshaven eyebrows, Farquaad wearing Spongebob's extendable legs from the iconic episode "The Chaperone" and a mutated Fiona that consists of a torso with two heads. Oh boy it's a mixed bag of ogre goodness today! You know you wanna watch it. WAIT There was a Shrek 2 kids' meal promotion in 2004 as well? Guess that means I had another chance to "have it my way" after all.
