Season with salt and pepper, optional: rosemary/thyme or any green herb you have. Fold cover each garlic in aluminum foil Put on a baking tray and “slide it in” Cook for 45 minutes Potatoes: Peel & Cut potatoes so that they are somewhat similar in size, so they cook at the same rate and faster. Add pieces to a pot with plenty of water and salt the water after all potatoes are in. Cook for approx. 20 minutes until they are tender. Strain potatoes, add back to pot and use a potato masher to get the potatoes to a chunky (not smooth) state. Season with salt and pepper, add the butter, add the milk. Squeeze in the garlic straight from the bulb. Mix/blend some more with the garlic and make creamy. Transfer to a bowl and swirl the top of the mashed potatoes with to create swirly canyon for the melted butter. Drizzle melted butter and garnish with the Thyme.
