Civilian Killed Near Encounter Site in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam District
A civilian died on Monday during an encounter between security forces and terrorists in South Kashmir's Kulgam district which began yesterday. Acting on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in Redwani Bala village of the district, a joint team of the police and the army launched a search operation on Sunday, police said. The security forces were conducting the search operation, when the terrorists who were holed up inside a building opened fired on them, the police added.
