She starts to Doze off. 10:35 - 10:27 pm - Ava wants attention. Beau alternates Between missing/Allopreening Ava, and looking outside. 10'20 pm - Beau still focused on Outside. 10:14 pm - Ava and Beau both return. Ava Gets into mating position but Beau is still distracted by something Outside. The Outside cameras are not picking it up. 10:03 pm - Ava follows Beau Outside. 9:55 pm - Beau is Still Distracted by something Outside. 9:50 pm - Ava is electing Beau to Mate With her. Instead he seems distracted by something Outside. 9:15 pm - Ava and Beau mate. 8:57 - 8:51 pm - Ava Preening. 8:21 pm - Ava is falling asleep. 8:05 pm - Ava Paces a Bit Before settling into her favorite reclining position. 8:02 pm - Beau is Back. He and Ava mate. 7:43 pm - After standing around the house, she then reclines into her favorite position. 6:27 pm - Ava places the Rodent in the Pantry 6:24 pm - Beau Returns with more Food. He has it in his foot, then transfers to his beak when he goes inside. Ava Holds it in her Beak while they mate. 5:53 pm - Ava starts eating the rest. 5:51 pm - Beau Returns to the Perch After giving Ava the rat. 5:49 pm - Beau Returns to the House. He is waiting For Ava. He is carrying a Rat in his beak. When Ava arrives he follows her into the House. Ava Holds the Rat in her Beak while they mate. 5:22 pm - Beau is Back on time for his nightly ritual of arriving at Dusk. Check out his wingspan during mating. The male hold female's head Feathers in his break while spreading his wings in order to maintain balance during mating. 5:15 pm - Ava Holds the rest in her Beak while she checks to see what is going on Outside. If he keeps up his routine Beau should arrive soon. 5:14 pm - Ava brands the tray out of the pantry (pantry is the corner area Ava has designated for food storage) 5:11 pm - Ava checking out the pantry. The Rat is laid up against the corner with the tail stretched out toward the center. 1:23 pm - Ava Still in her resting corner 12/28/23 (am hours) : 11:58 am - Ava in her resting corner, doing some small stretches 10:30 am - Ava now standing, Preening. 9:27 am - Ava is in her resting position. Interestingly, she is facing the wall, which she doesn't normally do when Reclining. 8:53 am - Ava Spending the Day in the House Again 5:24 am - Later they spend time together on the Perch 5:19 am - Ava Flies into the House, Beau Follows and they mate. 5:15 am - Beau is back in the perch 3:28 am - Ava Rests after a busy night. 3:04 am - Beau had spent Most of the last few hours on the perch guarding the House. He joins Ava, They Mate, Then he heads out. 2:53 - 12:36 am - Ava is making another attempt at eating the Rat. I don't think I've seen such a long tail before. After looking it up, I believe this is a Black/Roof Rat. We have also had a few visits from screech Owls. Currently the box is primarily occupied by barn Owls Ava and Beau.
