Michael Jackson - Baby Be Mine “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” is the hit ballad by Michael Jackson and Siedah Garret, and was the leading single released from Michael’s seventh album “Bad” on July 20th, 1987. Written by Michael Jackson in only a couple of hours, the presence of Siedah singing on the track was a last-minute decision by Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, as Michael’s first two choices for the duet, Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston, both decided against participating. Siedah Garrett, a protégé of Quincy’s who co-wrote another song on the “Bad” album, "Man in the Mirror", arguably Michael Jackson’s most iconic song, did not know that she would be singing the song until the day of the recording session. Michael Jackson and Siedah Garrett later recorded "Todo mi amor eres tú", a Spanish-language version of the song, with lyrics translated by Rubén Blades, and "Je ne veux pas la fin de nous", a French language version, with translation by Christine "Coco" Decroix. “I Just Can't Stop Loving You" reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, R&B Singles and Adult Contemporary charts, making it the first in a string of 5 number-one singles from “Bad”. In celebration of 35 years since Michael Jackson and Siedah Garret’s beautiful, Number 1 hit ballad, released as the leading single from the “Bad” album on July 20th, 1987, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” will now be the leading single to the “Bad 35” project! The single contains the ballad in remastered audio quality, along with it’s original B-Side track “Baby Be Mine”, which has also been remastered. Along with the original content 1987 release, the single contains both the Spanish and French versions of “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”, once again in remastered audio quality.
