Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - New Game Plus 1.4 - Tanking with pouch items and Poppibuster

Unless resorting to nerfing other party members severely, shield hammers just cannot keep aggro, even when setting them up for offense. This setup shows how using pouch items help to keep aggro, even when setting up them for defense. Aggro is kept for most of the fight except at the very beginning and at the very end of the chain attack. Poppibuster was able to keep aggro against Kos-Mos' attacks in a chain attack but could not against T-elos' final attack (aggro is lost once T-elos goes above 4 million in damage). Battle strategy: Spam specials to keep aggro. In this case, used Sparkly Snow Perfume and Clicky-Clacks. Morag: Lv99, both driver charts filled, level 10 ideas, pouch items as above, burst symbol, optical headband, hammer attachment Poppibuster: S+, dilaton chip, affinity max atk v, block rate up v, ultimate shield 3-star shield hammer with 24% strength mod and 3-star katana with 24% strength mod. Both have S+ trust, affinity max atk v, outdoor attack up v, and fast blade switch VI. All 3 blades are TNK class for best aggro buff. Nia: Lv99, both driver charts filled, level 10 ideas, burst symbol, critical symbol, optical headband Kos-Mos: S+, tachyon chip, affinity max atk v, outdoor attack up v, specials lv 1 plus v 2 HLR common blades with 24% ether mods and hunter's chemistry V / shoulder to shoulder V mods. Rex: Lv99, both driver charts filled, level 10 ideas, burst symbol, critical symbol, beta scope T-elos: S+, tachyon chip, affinity max atk v, outdoor attack up v, specials lv 2 plus v Vale and Azami are there just for their ether mods.
