How to Set Dark Theme on Google Map [NEW]

To set the Dark Theme in the Google Maps mobile app for both Android and iPhone, open the app, tap your profile picture in the top right corner, and then select Settings. On the next menu, look for and tap the Theme or Dark mode option, which will typically give you three choices: Always in dark theme/On to keep it dark all the time, Always in light theme/Off, or Same as device theme (or Same as system setting) to automatically match your phone's dark mode setting; choose your preferred dark option, and finally, tap Save to apply the new setting. Keep in mind that for navigation specifically, there is often a separate setting within Navigation Settings under the "Map display" section to set the color scheme to Day, Night, or Automatic while actively navigating.
