JustAnswer Customer: does that mean the heat ring in bottom of dishwasher is not working? Pearl Wilson: Assistant: Can you guesstimate how old your Whirlpool is? Pearl Wilson: Assistant: And just to clarify, what's the exact model? JustAnswer Customer: 4years and will have to get back shortly on model number Pearl Wilson: Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself? JustAnswer Customer: yes Pearl Wilson: Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best? JustAnswer Customer: model number is * Kelly: Appliance Technician: Thanks for counting on us to help with your appliance problem. Kelly: Appliance Technician: My name is * * I look forward to helping you! Kelly: Appliance Technician: The sanitized light flashing means that the sanitize portion of the cycle did not complete (water did not reach the 155* F it is designed to). Kelly: Appliance Technician: Was the door opened after the last rinse fill? JustAnswer Customer: No, this has been happening for the last week?or so Kelly: Appliance Technician: If you open the door mid cycle, is the water hot and steamy? Kelly: Appliance Technician: Any other lights flashing or trouble with it completing a wash cycle? JustAnswer Customer: I opened th edoor just as cycle finished and it was steamy, but not steaming out front vent as used to during sanitizing cycle Kelly: Appliance Technician: I think before we look at any parts it would be prudent to reset the control and try another cycle. Kelly: Appliance Technician: Please allow me just a few minutes to prepare some information for you, thank you! JustAnswer Customer: ok, thank you Kelly: Appliance Technician: With the control totally off, please do the following. Kelly: Appliance Technician: ■ Press any 3 keys in the sequence 1-2-3- 1-2-3-1-2-3 with no more than 1 second between key presses. Kelly: Appliance Technician: ■ The Service Diagnostics Cycle will start when the door is closed. Kelly: Appliance Technician: Once all the lights come on, allow it tor run for about 30 seconds, then press cancel. Kelly: Appliance Technician: Then, watch what the next cycle does, if you select the sanitize option in the Heavy Wash or Normal Wash cycles, does it flash again? Kelly: Appliance Technician: NOTE: You may reply back anytime, just follow a link back from your email once you do the next cycle. JustAnswer Customer: I did ther1,2,3 3 times and all lightrscame on theni waited 30/ seconds and hit cancel and it drained for about a minute. JustAnswer Customer: I then hit button and normal, high temp lightscame on.justed rechecked and no lights on now. JustAnswer Customer: good? Kelly: Appliance Technician: It most likely reset but you won't know for certain until the next wash cycle where the Sani Rinse cycle is selected. Kelly: Appliance Technician: I suspect you will have no further issues, though. JustAnswer Customer: That was what I was guessing that I would have to run another cycle first. JustAnswer Customer: ill try it tomorrow and hopefully wont need to getback with you thank you and have a good night! Kelly: Appliance Technician: You are very welcome, thank you!
