Winter Level Design Contest (2022) - 4th Placed Entry - Fury of the Storm

SPOILERS IN THIS VIDEO! But also, this video reveals everything in the level, so also spoilers to the players. Note: You can kill the enemies with 5 fireballs (had some nasty comments in a judge stream audience) Download: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachment... WLDC is the SMW Central Winter Level Design Contest that made it's comeback in 2022 where the main challenge is to create a chocolate level with a winter aesthetic and/or gimmick. Basically it's like the HLDC (Halloween Level Design Contest) but for a different season. Fury of the Storm is a One-Shot of the Mushroom Kingdom: Beyond The Worlds series taking place before the events of Krack The Hack where we follow one of the rixzos (Larry) in one of the battles of the Rixzo Wars. This fleshes out the general idea of how powerful the Mysticarian army is, and explores one of the other rixzos' abilities. The level itself is about these on/off switches that can only be activated by fireballs, ontop of ice blocks you're able to melt. All the enemies can be killed ala Mega Man with 5 shots. The entire soundtrack is original and composed by me. The exception is the easter egg room at the end of the video, but you're not going to find it on your first go. After Results comments: 4th place! Wow! Like honestly, that's an accomplishment! I was a little worried about some of the early reception, so I was genuinely pretty happy I actually got the top 5! Very awesome, I don't have that much to comment (I have a video of me with my reaction) so yeah. 0:00 - Title Screen 0:39 - Introduction / Mechanics 1:50 - Fury of the Storm (Level) 4:00 - Battle Against Sir Kris Flurry (Boss) 7:44 - End Credits / Post Credits Cutscene 9:56 - Easter Eggs / Funny Bugs I deliberately took my time in the level to show off everything, so this is not the 5 minute clear video. For that, go here:    • Fury of the Storm (Damageless and Deathless)   (Slightly lower quality, + technically the v1 of the entry but literally there's no differences besides one frame in the boss changed)
