Scattered thunderstorms could develop across parts of Texas overnight into Saturday morning as a cold front pushes southeast. While storms stayed mostly north of the Red River earlier Friday, the setup may become more active late tonight. Areas including the Big Country, Concho Valley, North Texas, Texoma, and Northeast Texas could see storms develop between midnight and sunrise Saturday. Some storms may produce damaging winds, hail, and locally heavy rain, with a low but non-zero tornado threat, especially if isolated storms form ahead of the main line. By Saturday afternoon, thunderstorms are expected to spread across the Hill Country, Central Texas, East Texas, the Brazos Valley, and Southeast Texas.
