Over two consecutive days at FTN Belagavi, contingents from India and Sri Lanka undertook a diverse and intensive training schedule under Exercise Mitra Shakti XI. Activities ranged from high-intensity fitness sessions and yoga to heliborne insertion drills, strengthening both physical conditioning and mutual camaraderie. Operational learning remained central with focused demonstrations on Road Opening Party procedures, casualty evacuation techniques, combat medical skills and drone handling for real-time operational employment. Advanced knowledge sharing continued through a Sri Lanka Army led case study on Operation Indra Sera, discussions on the Small Team Concept, IED detection and counter-measures. Survival readiness was enhanced through snake-handling drills, a detailed survival lecture and hands-on exposure to shelters and trap mechanisms. Confidence building peaked with LIDO Jump activities designed to reinforce mental resilience and trust and the combined training phase concluded with joint live firing to boost interoperability and weapon proficiency.
