ODM boss Odinga starts five day tour of the Coastal counties

ODM leader Raila Odinga landed in Voi, Taita Taveta County to begin his five day tour of the coast region. Odinga held a leaders meeting in the area at a time when sharp divisions have rocked the Taita Taveta leadership. His return to the coast three weeks after Deputy President William Ruto pitched tent there largely seen as a move aimed at neutralising the impact of the inroads made by the DP besides advancing the BBI agenda. As Chemutai Goin reports, Odinga’s tour comes in the backdrop of rising agitation by a section of coast leaders for a regional political party ahead of the next general election.
