TOMB RAIDER 4 REMASTERED ITA "THE GUARDIAN OF SEMERKHET" WALKTHROUGH (COMMENTARY)

Lara is in Egypt searching for an ancient artifact called the Amulet of Horus. Lara discovers an ancient desert passageway, through which she and her guide arrive at a large underground tomb. Proceeding inside, the guide flees in terror at an inscription, but Lara, unaware of his strange behavior, continues into the tomb alone, eventually reaching the chamber where the Amulet is kept, which she removes from a sarcophagus. Lara exits the tomb and examines the hieroglyphics engraved on the Amulet: "I, Semerkhet, Priest of Horus, warn anyone who removes the amulet that imprisons the spirit of Set. He who feasted on jackals at the dawn of man will thus return to desecrate the earth... Set, Lord of Evil, will once again be free at the turn of a distant millennium, accompanied by calamity and pestilence. And the entire harvest will wither under a burning sky." As she finishes reading the inscription, Lara is threatened by the escaped guide, who demands that she hand over the Amulet. Taking advantage of a fortuitous distraction, Lara evades the threat and sets off in pursuit of the guide and his accomplice. Lara boards a barge sailing on the Nile, where she discovers that the guide and his accomplice have been hired by her old mentor, Werner Von Croy. Lara visits a scholar friend, Jean-Yves, who reveals the true powers of the Amulet and how, by removing it, he has sparked a race against time to stop Set's power before it destroys the world. Lara then travels to the Karnak temple complex to enter the Tomb of Semerkhet, seeking a way to stop Set. Thwarted by Tuareg warriors hired by Von Croy, Lara reaches the entrance to Semerkhet's tomb. There, she clashes with Von Croy, who steals the Amulet and locks her in the tomb. Inside, Lara discovers that the only way to stop Set is to recover the pieces of the Armor of Horus and attach them to the statue of the god inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, thus reviving the power of Horus, the only one capable of stopping Set. Returning to the surface, Lara notices Von Croy aboard a helicopter leaving the excavation site and the traitorous guide guarding the exit from Semerkhet's Tomb. The guide reveals to Lara that Von Croy is headed to Alexandria, and after knocking the guide out and stealing her clothes, she boards a train headed to Alexandria.
