First Reading: Acts 6: 8-15 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 119: 23-24, 26-27, 29-30 Alleluia: Matthew 4: 4b Gospel: John 6: 22-29 There is a popular Swedish music band called ABBA. They have a song called “Money, money, money" that tells about a woman who works hard but can’t seem to get ahead so she dreams of being with a well-off man. It’s a song that people who WORK for food that perishes can relate to. Then there's another popular song composed by Kirby Llaban, and Mike Serapio called “God is Enough” that goes: “I may be faced with worldly lures I get confused at times, but Lord when I hear You call, I’m safe and I run to You. God is enough for me, nothing else will ever be, and I am satisfied for I have found my peace". This is the song that is fitting to those who WORK for the food that endures forever. What song are we singing? This is the 1107th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Eric Villanueva, CFC Europe & Africa Missions Head, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
