We were honoured when the owner of this rare machine contacted us and offered us a drive in his pride and joy, a 2007 Volkswagen Citi Golf 1.8i. But the 1.8i has some history. Before the launch of this production run, Volkswagen South Africa released the 1.8R, and over the years, there have been many different versions to the story as to how these two models are related.
