TOPIC: HOW MUCH DO WE APPRECIATE THE IMPACT OF JESUS’ ARRIVAL? First Reading: Isaiah 52: 7-10 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 98: 1, 2-3, 3-4, 5-6 Second Reading: Hebrews 1: 1-6 Gospel: John 1: 1-18 Today, Christmas day, let us consider the impact of the gift God gave us – His Son. Today’s gospel in John 1:1-18 provides us with a rich and profound passage that encapsulates the divinity of Jesus Christ, emphasizing His eternal existence, His role in creation, and the grace He brings to humanity. Here are some insights on this Gospel passage. First was “The Word”, identified as Jesus Christ, who existed from the beginning and played a central role in creation. Then we have John the Baptist who testified about Jesus as the Light of the world, who brought grace and truth. Thirdly, Jesus, the Word incarnate, became flesh, dwelling among humanity, revealing God's glory and offering grace to all who believe in Him. Finally, through Jesus Christ, humanity receives the opportunity to become children of God and experience the fullness of grace and truth. This is the 1340th installment of our CFC contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: As we continue to pray for Bro Bong Arjonillo’s healing and recovery, let us listen to our brother Eric Villanueva, Mission Head for CFC Europe and the Americas, as he brings us today's reflection. All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
