Today, January 11, Holy Mother Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, kept on the Sunday within the Octave of the Epiphany, according to the Traditional Latin Mass of the 1962 Roman Missal. In this beautiful feast, the liturgy sets before us the hidden life of Christ at Nazareth, where the Son of God freely chose obedience and humility under Mary and Joseph. By His submission to His parents, Our Lord sanctifies family life, lawful authority, and domestic order, teaching that holiness is chiefly formed in faithful daily duty.
