Without items, there’s no way to heal your characters from her Glare attack, so if the fight goes on too long, you’re done. To that end, I set the battle speed all the way down and cast Slow on Valvalis twice. With this setup, you should be able to deal enough damage to take Valvalis down. So long as two characters survive, your final levels will not be impacted. PS: If you’re sharp-eyed you’ll notice Yang and Cid’s EXP is lower than it should have been after the Magus Sister fight. After recording the video, I went back and beat the fight again without losing Tellah. There are a couple little discrepancies like this throughout the run, but none of them affect the party's final level.
