Two sportspersons from the Northeast were conferred top national sports awards. Mizoram's ace archer C Lalremsanga was conferred the Dhyan Chand award for his achievements in the field of archery. Hockey player from Manipur, Chinglensensna Singh Kanghujam was honoured with the prestigious Arjuna Award.
