Scripture Reading: Luke 2: 21-37 Christmas is a time to celebrate Christ instead of people and worldly desires. Christmas is Christ and Church (mass). The Real Meaning of the 12 Days Of Christmas: Our True Love is Jesus Christ because he is "Love". 1- The partridge in the pear tree symbolized his willingness to sacrifice his life for us! 2- Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments 3- Three French hens stood for faith, hope, and love. 4- Four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. 5- Five golden rings rerepresented the first five books of the Old 1-Testament, which describe man's fall into sin and the great love of God in sending a Savior. 6- Six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. 7- Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit-----Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy. 8- Eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes. 9- Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit-----Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience [Forbearance], Goodness [Kindness], Mildness, Fidelity, Modesty, Continency [Chastity]. 10- Ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments. 11- Eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful Apostles. 12- Twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in The Apostles' Creed. 4 People mentioned in the scriptures that were obedient to God's Word as mentioned in Luke chapter 2. ** Joseph & Mary: The earthly parents of Jesus who listened to the Angel of Lord in all things. Jesus's name came from God himself (an angel was sent from God with the name of his son to Mary) Jesus means: God Saves Christmas is about the greatest gift of all which is Jesus! ** Simeon was promised by God that he would not die until he saw the Lord's Christ. He waited decades for him and was rewarded with sight of Jesus as promised at the appointed time of the Father. ** Anna the prophetess served God faithfully with fastings and prayers and spoke to the people of Jesus being the redemption in Jerusalem at the age of 84. ******* To know what a person believes in and stands for, look at their spending habits and where they spend their time ****** Salvation is not just a prayer, a plan but a person. That person is "Jesus" ***** Christmas is a lifestyle of Fasting and Prayer, worship and Praise.
