Forecast: Mostly cloudy and warm, scattered storms return Sunday afternoon

After a messy start to the day, the WCNC Charlotte Weather Team is looking ahead to round #2 of rain and storms Sunday afternoon and evening. These storms will NOT be as widespread as this morning with mostly scattered to even spotty coverage. Although no severe weather is expected, prepare for heavy rain, localized flooding, frequent lightning, and gusty winds with a lot of tropical moisture in place. Highs will peak in the mid-80s.
