PAWS Mumbai in News : Join Raid by PAWS-Mumbai & Forest Department at Crawford Market, 3 arrested

TV9 Gujarati | Wednesday 4 January 2017 | Forest officials raid Crawford Market following to the complaint from PAWS-Mumbai, 3 arrested and 36 wildlife seized. Following to Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) complaint forest department ( team lead by Santosh Kank : Range Forest Officer [Ter] Mumbai ) have conducted a join raid on Wednesday 4 January 2017 with the help of PAWS-Mumbai team ( Chandramani Yadav, Kishan Lalit Chand, Mihir J., Rupesh Pilankar, Ravi Kumar, Harish Yadav and Pramod R. Pal ) lead by Sunish Subramanian, have success in seizing 21 Parrots and 15 Turtles which is protected species under Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and arrested 3 person ( Mibail Gulab Khan, Fayyaz Mohamad Rafiquf Shaikh & Sandip Shivji More ). Offence have been register Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Plant & Animals Welfare Society - Mumbai (PAWS-Mumbai) team lead by Sunish Subramanian & Nisha Kunju have collected information and evidence on hidden wildlife trade at Crawford Market (Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Mandai) Mumbai.
