Whitney Houston Interview -- SPARKLE

It is only fitting that the great Whitney Houston's final screen role would be in a story that reveals both the beauty and tragedy of a performer's life. Even though Houston has a supporting role in SPARKLE, in many ways it showcases her best strengths. Yes, the once soaring voice is diminished, but the Houston Effect is still very much in its proper place. My colleague Samantha Somers was one of the last people to interview the Grammy-winning legend for the film's EPK before her untimely passing this year.
